Hello + Welcome!
A pandemic hobby. We all had one right?! Baking bread, exercising, gardening... Well, mine was photography and here's why:
My daughter Magnolia turned one just as the world shut down. Her one year photo session was cancelled and I was upset (to put it mildly). I was literally more distraught about a missed cake smash than I was about the scarcity of toilet paper or the obsessive Clorox wiping. Why?? Because if I've learned one thing since having kids it's how fleeting the moments are, how quickly time flies, and how babies don't keep. Their tiny toes, long lashes, chubby thighs, gummy smiles, knuckle dimples, tiny curls… (and now I have baby fever). I digress.
Since we couldn’t meet with a photographer for Magnolia’s photos, I decided to order an inexpensive starter camera and DIY. One thing led to another and I fell in love with photography and become obsessed with learning more. Fast forward several years and here we are. What started as a desire to capture my own family memories has turned in to a magical opportunity to capture yours as well.
When I say it’s an honor to take your photos, I’m seriously not being dramatic. I really feel it. The thought of photos that I captured being passed down to your children and their children and on and on literally gives me butterflies. Is there anything more magical than freezing a moment in time to allow it to exist forevermore?
A few of my favorite things...
GIRL MOM
I have three girls and I 100% love being a girl mom. Give me all of the glitter, Barbie dolls, dance parties and hair bows please!
GO GREEN
I graduated from Michigan State and East Lansing will forever have a piece of my heart. I received a masters degree from Western Michigan and have been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 13 years!
HOME
I grew up in metro Detroit and have lived in Michigan my entire life. I have lived all over the state (Lansing, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids) but metro Detroit is home. I love living in Michigan: lake weekends, up north, cute coastal towns, four beautiful seasons and so much nature!
